Content Administrator

Role

The Content Administrator is responsible for delivering changes and updates on the platform, as per the Account Manager (or Account Director or Traffic Coordinator) requests, as received from the client. They are responsible for updating content, documents, SMSes, outbounds, etc, for the client. Essentially, they are responsible for any back-end updates, maintaining existing platforms.

Responsibilities


  • Liaise with the Account/Content Manager to deliver platform requirements as outlined by the client
  • Update content, documents, videos, images, etc, to the platforms as required or as per pre-established content plan
  • Adjusts provided content and images, etc, to fit the platform (image sizes, video sizes, etc)
  • Set up and send SMSes as per instructions or pre-established SMS plan
  • Manage and maintain platform content - including USSD and Mobi
  • Implementing changes and messaging in multi-language, when required
  • Support data pulling and analysis for Account Manager (offer insights as witnessed on the platform)
  • Question content that doesn't work, and offer advice and feedback to the Account Manager
  • Shorten content where possible for USSD and SMSes, with go ahead from Account Manager
  • Support the Account / Content Manager insofar as possible when they are unable to perform their duties (urgent communications may arise and the management team are unavailable - such as in meetings or briefs)
  • Conduct content audits on each platform, with support from the Account / Content Manager, to identify redundancies and gaps

Core Key Skills, Capabilities and Requirements


  • At least 2 years' work experience
  • Content Management experience (1+ years)
  • Experience executing content plans and schedules (1+ years)
  • Experience with CMS (1+ years)
  • Excellent written skills (1+ years)
  • Mostly independently managed once guidance is received from Account/Content Manager (i.e. works independently with direction, executes weekly and monthly requirements without having to be reminded)
