We’re looking for a Johannesburg based Strategist who together with Creative and Client Services will be “The Solver” that elevates strategic focus on Client briefs, Studio briefs, Client presentations.

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director with a close working relationship required with the Creative Director and Group Account Director the role will extend to entail:

  • Builds direct relationship with Client to drive more effective and efficient strategic focus & resolution
  • Actively seek out ways to deliver sharper insight & thought leadership
  • Actively manages & owns projects
  • Presents convincingly & persuasively
  • Sets out to achieve a Client actively seeking out your opinion
  • Working with Creative so that they respect your opinion
  • Partnering with Client Services so that they actively seek out your input* push the thinking at all levels
  • constantly involved in process, joining the dots across all the communication touchpoints to ensure the creative work and messaging is as impactful as it possible can be, whilst spotting new opportunities along the way
  • Working with and leading the AM & Creative teams to truly understand our Client’s business, brand and task at hand. Thereby developing an in-depth knowledge of the consumer, category and brand context. This may include stakeholder interviews, primary, desk research and / or consumer immersion
  • Distillation of the information gathered to determine the fundamental and meaningful insights
  • The definition of a compelling brand or communication proposition that works as a platform and springboard to unlock powerful channel neutral creative thinking
  • Working with a multi-disciplinary team to develop an impactful communication plan, creative idea and execution. The strategist takes ownership of the brand and messaging tenets and communication objectives whilst remaining very close to the implementation plan and executional ideas as they are developed
