Digital Marketing Manager

at Recruit Digital in Midrand

Our client is a small UK fashion company who has recently become a distributer of a global Australian footwear brand into the EU and UK. Our client is looking for an excited and dedicated junior Digital Marketing Manager to work for their brand in their Johannesburg office and take responsibility for the implementation of the brand's digital marketing.

What will I do?

For this position your main job responsibility will be to implement all the digital marketing of our client. You will work with seniors in both South Africa and Australia. You will be guided on the overall strategy for the brand and offered the relevant content, and then be trusted to follow through and implement it. Overall, you will mainly be implementing the following aspects of digital marketing:

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Social Media marketing and the relevant content.
  • Social Media community management and engagement, and Online Brand Management.
  • Campaign management and implementation.
  • Tracking the analytics on campaign performance, and reporting back.
  • Marketing Automation and Email Marketing.
  • Updating and managing the client's website, uploading new products, relevant content, etc.

In further detail:

Marketing Campaigns

  • Assist with managing and executing all things digital.
  • Manage all email, social media, website, SEO, etc. campaigns.
  • Assist where necessary for content and digital marketing strategy.
  • Identify trends and digital innovations to ensure that the company stays within the forefront of digital marketing technology
  • Maintain the overall content marketing strategy.
  • Ensure that new content is uploaded regularly on the website, and across all other digital platforms.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Assist by monitoring and enhancing social media response and conversion rates.
  • Assist by monitoring and enhancing the effectiveness of all digital communications.
  • Assist with all digital marketing reporting and tracking all the relevant analytics.
  • Report these findings on a regular basis to help improve the various digital marketing campaigns.

Overall Brand Identity

  • Ensure that the brand identity of the client and the global brand remains consistent and correct across all digital platforms.
  • These digital platforms include social media, website, email and e-flyers, and the client's online reputation.
  • Ensure that the brand platforms (website, etc.) remain managed and updated with new content and products.

What do I need?

  • At least 2 years experience in SEO, Social Media, Campaign Management, Analytics and Reporting, Marketing Automation.
  • Experience managing and updating websites.
  • Community management and social media monitoring experience.
  • Experience in following a marketing strategy.
  • A positive attitude, and happy to follow instruction where necessary.
  • A love for shoes is also beneficial!

Our client is looking for someone who is eager to take control and work independently on the implementation of all the brand’s digital work. This position requires someone who can both work well independently and work well with others and follow guidance. Being able to follow instruction, but also offer input is highly valued in this position, as you will be briefed on the overall content strategy and content will be sourced for you, but it will be your responsibility to execute and improve.
