Sales Account Manager

at Recruit Digital in Cape Town

Our client is a global travel and volunteering company established almost 20 years ago. They have offices around the world. They focus on sending participants around the world, or locally, to help communities, wildlife and environments while gaining a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience. Our client is looking for an Account Manager to come on board and help to manage this process and generate sales and participation in their various programs.

What will I do? 

  • Generate sales through bookings on the company system.
  • Handle general enquiries by phone and email, reply to enquiries and answer phones.
  • Liaise with the field staff for any project updates.
  • Have a strong knowledge base of client's programs, packages and locations.
  • Ensure all parties are paid on time and all documents are received.
  • ROTA based emergency phone duties (including weekends).
  • Preparing clients and participants for their departures.
  • Closing sales, ensuring that there are enough participants for programs to run.

What do I need?

  • Track record of sales success.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Travel and tourism industry experience will be beneficial.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Multi-tasking skills, computer literate and exceptional phone manner.
